Antas-169 Structural Silicone Sealant
Model: antas-169
antas-169 is a one-part, neutral cure structural silicone sealant. It is designed and vigorously tested for structural bonding and sealing of glass curtain wall system with frameless design. It has high strength, excellent weatherproof ability and temperature durability. In a properly designed structurally glazed joint, the sealant is strong enough to support glass and other panel materials under high wind load.
Features
- Neutral cure, no pollution or corrosion on metal, coated glass, concrete, marble and other building materials.
- Excellent performance with over 25 years’ service life under general environment.
- Excellent weatherability virtually unaffected by sunlight, rain, snow, ozone and temperature extremes of -40⁰C to 150⁰C.
- Compatibility with other neutral silicone sealants.
- High performance structural glazing and weather sealing from a single product.

Substrate preparation
The substrate must be clean, dry, sound and homogeneous, free from oils, grease, dust and loose or friable particles.
Adhesion and cohesion test is recommended before application. The primer is usually not a required when applying antas-169 silicone structural sealant. But to enhance the bonding performance, the primer antas-201 primer will be a plus.

Limitations
- In structural applications without prior review and approval by your local sales application engineer
- On building materials that bleed oil, plasticized or solvent, to materials such as impregnated wood, oil-based caulks, green or partially vulcanized rubber gaskets, or tapes or bituminous below-grade waterproof and asphalt-impregnated fiberboard.
- In totally confined spaces.
- When substrate surface temperature is over 45 ⁰Cor below -5 ⁰
- On wet surface or continuously immersed in water.
- On the surface contacted with food directly.
- For continual high pressure and temperature.
- When the sealant is intended to be painted.
